Roman ceramic unguent jars were delicate containers used in the Roman Empire, especially during the 1st century AD. These containers, available at Vita Romana, were intended to store liquids, perfumes or ointments. Made from ceramic, these objects were not only functional but also aesthetically appealing.
Its main use was to contain and dispense perfumes and essences, reflecting the importance that the Romans placed on hygiene and personal elegance. We can find remains of these pieces exhibited in museums throughout Europe.
