Do you want to write like a true Roman? These small tablets were used to take notes, just like current notebooks. They were used using a stilus that could be made of iron, bronze or even bone.

Being filled with wax, the notations could be "erased" by crushing and smoothing the wax with the flat part of the Roman style and they could be written on again. This was called making a clean slate .
