The Vindolanda Tablets are other writing media used by the Romans. They are less known than papyri or parchments since their existence is only known in Great Britain. The original tablets can be found in the British Museum in London.

They were thin sheets of wood that were folded on themselves once the message was written. The recipient's address was written on the outside and sealed with wax to be sent.
