Xylospongium or Tersorium, meaning "sponge on a stick"

Recreation of a cleaning utensil that the ancient Romans used to clean themselves after going to relieve themselves in the latrines.

Consists in:

  • a sea sponge (imitation)
  • A dark colored wooden stick
  • A black leather cord to hold the sponge.
